A new multicultural festival for Ashford
Equator Festival has been awarded funds from the Big Lottery Fund to launch a new multicultural community festival in Ashford. The festival will be in partnership with Festival in the Park on Friday 7th July – Sunday 9th July 2017 and we want YOU to be part of it.
There will also be a food tent with food from around the world and specialist chefs showing you how to cook. There will be performances and workshops from some of the Equator Artists.
We need volunteers to make this event a success! The day will be very busy so we need volunteers that will be able to keep up with excitement, bring lots of energy as well as enthusiasm.
Volunteer roles will be assigned on the day during briefing but the responsibilities are:
- Help set up/Close Down the event
- Give out information and directions to the public
- Stewarding
- Support acts and performers
The exact times you will be needed onsite are still be to be finalised.
All volunteers must be over 18 years old.
